About Us

Gastronom is the online counter of A Taste of Europe, a Sarasota shop founded in 1995 to make familiar European foods easier to find in the United States.

What began as a specialty market became a place where families could reconnect with the tastes they remembered and introduce them to a new generation. The shop expanded in 2015, but the idea stayed simple: a thoughtful selection, a welcoming table, and careful service.

Online, that means bringing together caviar, smoked and cured fish, charcuterie, cheese, preserves, tea, sweets and pantry staples in one place that is easier to search.

Food that travels with care

Most orders are processed within 1–2 business days. Temperature-sensitive products may be packed with insulated materials and cooling packs, and most deliveries arrive 2–7 business days after shipment. Perishable products should be refrigerated promptly on arrival.

Clear expectations

We want customers to understand what they are ordering and how it will travel. Unfortunately, returns are not accepted, so product details and the published shipping and return policies are always available before checkout.
